8GB, 16GB, 32GB Fuel the Power 750 Express and Power 755

Announcing the immediate availability of cost-effective 8GB, 16GB and 32GB memory upgrades for IBM's newest Power 750 and 755 systems featuring POWER7 processors.

Dataram's DRI750 family of memory upgrades fuel POWER7 processors with up to 512GB of 1066MHz DDR3 DIMMs, enabling greater bandwidth and performance. The use of DDR3 memory technologies that utilize ECC (error checking and correcting), Chipkill and Memory Spare provide increased RAS (Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability). Deploying multiple Power 750 servers fully loaded with 512GB of Dataram memory is an excellent alternative to the larger more expensive CUoD (Capacity Upgrade on Demand) servers.

The DRI750 is available in three capacities - 8GB, 16GB and 32GB - and each product consists of two identical DDR3 DIMMs.

Memory Configuration:

  • The Power 750 and Power 755 support up to four processor cards
  • Each processor card contains eight DIMM slots
  • DIMMs must be installed in matched sets of two, four or eight on each processor card
  • Mixing of DIMM capacities on a processor card is not permitted
  • The Power 750 has a maximum memory capacity of 512GB (4 cards x 8 slots x 16GB)
  • The Power 755 has a maximum memory capacity of 256GB (4 cards x 8 slots x 8GB)
