Dataram First to Upgrade IBM and Sun Servers to 192GB Memory Capacity

February 9, 2010
Large Capacity 16GB DIMMs Make it Possible

Princeton, NJ, February 9, 2010 Dataram Corporation [NASDAQ: DRAM], a worldwide leader in the manufacture of high-quality computer memory, storage products, software and services, today announced the immediate availability of high-capacity, 16GB DDR3 memory upgrades for IBM and Oracle’s Sun 2-way servers that use Intel Xeon 5500 (Nehalem-EP) processors.

A maximum memory capacity of 192GB is now a reality for these popular servers. Until now, larger more expensive 4-socket servers were required to reach this memory capacity. These IBM and Sun 2-way servers are attractive alternatives, and with 24GB of memory for each processor core, the systems are ideally suited for memory intensive applications requiring high I/O rates and for server consolidation with virtualization.

Dataram’s new 16GB memory upgrades—DRIX1066RQ/16GB for IBM servers and DRSX1066RQ/16GB for Sun servers—are available and supported for the systems and models listed in the tables below. Dataram server memory is backed by a Lifetime Warranty and The Guardian Program, providing the protection and support required for data center environments.
