Memory is installed on one to two cell boards, each having 16 DIMM slots arranged in four banks of four. Different capacities may be mixed on a cell board. Use of the 8GB upgrade requires a PDC of 16.011 or higher and a MP of 4.009 or higher. For optimum memory interleaving and performance, it is recommended that one capacity be selected and distributed evenly across two cell boards.
